Portrait Assignment...

We are going to be making a photo documentary about ONE person of your choice. This can be someone in class, in another class, a friend, family member, etc. It is up to you. Our goal is to tell a story about this person with images, detailing their life, interests, hobbies, job, school, friends, activities, etc.

Please visit this site and view some of the NY TIMES photo essays. They are accompanied by a narration, ours will not. But they all follow one person throughout their life, what makes that person special, etc. Watch a minimum of 6, and pick one that you like the best, answer some questions about it here...

For your photographs: you need a minimum of 8 interesting and unique image

• 2+ images must be portraits in front of a backdrop
• 1+ image must be a macro shot (shallow depth of field)
• 1+ images must be contextual
• 2+ images must be action/candid (or in the moment)
